Had a meal here in early January & everything was excellent, including the service. The salad bar was fresh & varied & good value too.

As another reviewer noted this is awful. I too stopped here while wating for a train. The waitress although friendly was not that efficient. Apart from me there was only two other diners who had just coffee yet the service was slow. The menu was extensive but clearly over priced. The food I ordered was almost creamated. The chips resembled wood pickings and the chef who came out after my meal to eat his own, walked back into the kitchen with it half eaten. This says it all. I reluctantly paid as it was a buisness trip but they even had the audacity to add a service charge. Please avoid this restraunt at all costs. It should be left where it belongs - back in the 1970's.

We needed a quick meal before using the underground to King's Cross. Paddington Station is just a minutes walk from this restaurant and suited us perfectly. The food was good, service excellent. Would recommend to anyone.

Wanting a meal in a hurry as I had a train to catch from Paddington, my daughter and I thought Garfunkle's would fit the bill. Our waitress was efficient and helpful, but the food was truly dreadful. I had a steak sandwich salad and chips: the steak was tough, the salad, which looked as if it had come out of a bag, was wilting and the chips not freshly cooked and barely edible. My daughter's similar meal was equally poor.
We ate it because we were hungry and had no time to complain or find an alternative venue. The beer was OK, but don't risk eating there.

Kid friendly, lots of choices, (but basic). Parents enjoy beer or wine! Our waiter treated us like royalty! Easy on the wallet too.
