I've been coming to Fung Shing now for over 20 years, and the quality has been consistent. It's not cheap, but you definitely do get more and better quality than the 'all you can eat for 5 pounds' offers in the same area. You do get what you pay for. Service is good and lightning fast. Winelist is somewhat pretentious and overpriced, so I'd stick with beer.
The barbequed beef is delicious. I have managed to pry the recipe out of the manager, but still haven't managed to make it just as crispy and delicious as they do in Fung Shing.
they've been in Lisle Street for as long as I can remember, and I hope they stay there forever.

FANTASTIC restaurant, easily the best in Chinatown. My boyfriend and I went there last week, we had the frogs legs, quail, and suckling pig...all of it was delicious! The variety on the menu is amazing, and the quality of the food is excellent. Go there!!

Many people think of Cantonese food as bland, because they've not experienced true Cantonese cuisine. However, in China, food from that region is considered the most complex, interesting and delicious food; Cantonese is the Chinese version of haute French. And Fung Shing is a sterling example of fine Cantonese cuisine. The menu has many old favorites, but be sure to go off the beaten path and try more unusual dishes, like the salt and chili stuffed squid. You won't be sorry.
