|Hated the food! Didn't like the service The ambience was okay
Last week I ate in three Michelin rated restaurants, two in the suburbs without stars and Le Club Gascon, in the City and with a star. In fact, there was no comparison - the suburban restaurants were far, far better and far, far more reasonably priced. The food at Le Club Gascon was attractively presented but seriously over salted; the quantities were ridiculously small: perhaps the star is offered by Michelin to remind the diners that a telescope is useful for a clear view.
There are many better places to eat than Le Club Gascon and, thankfully, it is not even necessary to travel into Central London to enjoy refined cooking and sensible prices.

|Loved the food! Liked the service Loved the ambience!
This favourite of mine, is a tiny piece of France transported to the heart of the City. The food is sensational.
Where else can you find variations on foie gras at reasonable prices and so delicious?
The wines from the south west of France, lesser known and hence often much better value than their better known cousins from Bordeaux.
The staff are fun even if the service sometimes a bit erratic when it gets busy.
