I have been to Chutney Mary's several times and like it very much. Their sister restaurant, Veeraswamy, is very good as well. My usual favorite is to have the Mangalorean fish curry (or prawn curry) - this is not always on the menu and you have to ask for it to be made (the secret is that it is then made to order). Their grilled prawns and mutton are very good too.
I like sitting in the garden section of the restaurant (usually empty during lunch hours) - expect to pay upwards of 30 pounds for a meal (2008) - so this is a special treat and not a restaurant you go to for a quick bite.

As I am a rather large fan of indian food I must say that the green curry was  excellent, but  must say that when I got to the bottom step of the resturant I nearly fell over in shock that it was so nice. Shame I dont live closer would love to be come a regular visitor.

Exceptional food of great subtlety and varied flavours. The restaurant is very pretty. Service was knowledgeable.

It is for a special evening out - since it is not cheap. But better value than the celebrity chef french / modern british restaurants

Stunning place. The flavours and presentation were outstanding. Interiors are romantic and seductive. The staff good looking and friendly.
The wine list was exceptional.

Not cheap, but worth the price.

I went to this a few years ago but I can still remember it because it was so good. The food was excellent and the restaurant was unbelievably posh. It had a glass house where you could eat with loads of small white lights on the trees which made for a good atmosphere. The service was good but the food was expensive but I didn't care because someone else was paying. So I order loads and didn't eat all of it.
