My partner and I had a fantastic dining experience at Christophers in Covent Garden. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Overall a wonderful start to a super evening in London's West End. I would thoroughly recommend dining at Christophers and look forward to another superb meal there.

I've found a brunch home at Christopher's after my recent move here from New York. I've been there twice already in 1.5 months and not only is the food fabulous, the service is excellent. It's the perfect chic atmosphere to recover from a late Saturday night...I wish I were adventurous to try something else from the menu besides my now favourite Huevos California but I have to have it every time. Happy brunching and buon appetito!

My wife and I found the food to be both value for money and to be of a very high standard. We ate in the bar and had two of the most delicious steak sandwiches we have ever had! Cocktails at Christophers are also extremely impressive, with a comprehensive choice and no ridiculous prices. We liked Christophers so much we ate there at lunch and came back for drinks in the evening.

I had a really wonderful meal here. The eggs alaska were spectacular and the swordfish steak and buttermilk pancakes were very tasty indeed. All in all a great meal in a great location and the service was good too - highly recommended.

I have been to Christopher’s many times now and would highly recommend it as one of the best Cocktail bars I have ever been to. The quality of their cocktails is second to none, hence I always make sure that I visit when I am in London. Additionally, the restaurant offers an exceptional value for money and a very well thought and exquisite menu. Christopher’s is a true gem and one place definitely worth viditing when you fancy a quality tipple or a delicious meal! I would highly recommend to everyone!

Christopher's is our favourite West End resturant. We use it as pre- or post-theatre dining every time we come up to town. The set-price menu is excellent value and there is no compromise on quality. My husband often chooses the a la carte - the last time he had the scallops and as we live in Hastings he's eaten a lot of scallops in his time - but he said these were the best he's ever tasted. The service is always good - quick and unobtrusive. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Every time I go to Christopher's I thoroughly enjoy it. Great cocktail bar downstairs then upstairs for a superb 22oz beef rib. Ok, the steak is £30, but I've paid a lot more in the provinces and had abysmal food. This is in the centre of London. Some reviewers here have to appreciate that you will pay more for being in the centre of London! Their rent and business rates must be astonishing

It was quite simply the best steak I have ever had! Fantastic. I was going to have the fillet steak (more regular choice) but our extremely helpful and knowledgeable waiter advised we have the “Christopher’s Special” which was good advice. It was huge and the taste was amazing. I ate all of mine and the rest of my girlfirend’s. Great wine list too.

My Friend and I recently entertained Dinner at Christophers W1 on a Saturday night And I can say, "we" will be returning very soon...

Christophers last night was golden! Steak with oysters hmmm and as for a dessert a giant chocolate fudge... ahhh

From the moment we walked up the Steps to Reception, our guests were attended and entertained and totally complimented for the choice of venue to the food choices itself - Well done !

Well, I can't speak too highly of my first visit to Christopher's. The food was excellent, the salmon has become legendary between my daughter and myself! Truly cooked to perfection - not too much not too little, and a wonderful flavour. The old fireplace and the decor of the dining room added to the unique and pleasant ambiance. A perfect, pre-theatre dining experience.
The staff were friendly and attentive, yet not intrusive; a perfect balance seldom found in an affordable West End restaurant. One tip: start off the evening with a special cocktail in the bar. Not to be missed!

Fabulous location for theatre land and a wonderful meal before the show made for a memorable evening. Already booked for a return visit for full dining experience and to introduce friends.
The most attentive but not oppresive service I have experienced for a long, long time.

Great menu, imaginative dishes and some favourites with attention to detail and quality that you don't often find in the West End.

Don't belive its that good? then go and try for yourself - I don't think you will be dissapointed And finally - no I am not a professional food critic, just someone who likes good food and great service

my boyfriend booked surprise tickets to Swan Lake, when we landed at Christophers I was a little taken aback that we were going to a Bar/Grill as i envisaged chips and burgers....i was so pleased and relieved to be ushered up a beautiful staircase into an elegant restaurant where we were treated to lovely food and very sweet staff. in case there are others put off by the name, please dont be as judgemental as me, it was a perfect beginning to a romantic date!

I was there recently with my mam for a pre-theatre meal. The building looks wonderful, loved the staircase and the candles, very pretty. The staff were very helpful, even helped us find our way to the theatre.
And the food was amazing, very tasty! The chargrilled chicken was cooked to perfection and the dessert, yummy! Could have licked my bowl clean.

Great service and even a good atmosphere for a Tuesday night.

We hadn't booked in advance and were helpfully accommodated with a table later that evening, so we had drinks in the bar, again a great atmosphere.

Food was great, and I'd definitely go again

My husband and I had a weekend bruch here and it was a real treat. The food is quite expensive, but very very good quality. We had smoothies, healthy options, and then eggs florentine (me) and eggs benedict (him) - all of it was lovely. I wish the smoothies were bigger for the price, but maybe that's just cheeky.
The decor and building are beautiful and from some tables you have a gorgeous view across Waterloo Bridge. There was a bit of a delay between our courses, but the staff were very apologetic and it was nice not to feel rushed for brunch.
I'd recommend booking as they seemed to have to squeeze us in when we just turned up. Christopher's feels like a real treat and we'll definitely go again.

My wife & I made our first ever visit to Christopher's on 7th Feb & had the pre-theatre menu at about 6pm. Everything was just perfect - greeting on arrival, prompt & friendly service, food & value for money. I can recommend the rigatoni for main course & you must have the Brownie with bourbon vanilla ice cream - one of the best deserts ever. Portions are not huge but just right considering you have 3 courses, & great value at £19.50.

I visited Christopher's last weekend with three girlfriends. We were looking for a smart place for brunch and it fitted the bill perfectly. There was a great range of food to choose from and the dishes were delicious. The service was very attentive and the surroundings were relaxing and stylish. It may be more expensive than your average breakfast, but it's well worth a visit.

Went to Christopher's a couple of weeks ago with a client. Superb service, very attentive and polite staff and for a Wednesday evening was pleasantly bustling and busy. Spent the evening chatting over excellently mate cocktails and enjoyed a quick bite to eat from the bar menu.

Perfectly located close to Cov Garden and Charring X stations, so only a short walk back to the Tube

Highly recommended for drinks and dinner

We went to Christopher's for a rare night out sans baby, so were determined to do 'the full works'. We started with brilliant (strong!) cocktails in the bar then moved upstairs to the restaurant.

Steaks were spot-on, and service was excellent. Tables are also nicely spaced and the ambiance was the right mix of formal and relaxed. I definitely recommend this place whether for business dinner or out with friends.

Lovely location and ambience. The cocktails were divine! We should have booked a table as it was very crowded on Friday evening and had to move tables as it was rather tight. Service was good though they took a long time to bring us the bill and we had to request it twice.

This is a terrific restaurant that ticks all the boxes. The bar area is trendy and sophisticated but not offputting (and the cocktails are great). The food is excellent, I have eaten here on several occasions and never had a bad experience. The thing I love about is as well is that you can eat here quite late (post theatre) and you never feel as if they are rushing you. The service is really good, attentive but not intrusive.

Absolutely delighted to have found Christophers. Earlier this year I took a family party of 18, all ages for a pre theatre dinner, we all left on such a high. The surroundings are so elegant. food is perfection and the staff so attentive. I went again a few weeks ago and nothing had changed, the martinis were even better!.My girl friend was equally impressed and have to say I am going again on the 20th June to celebrate my wedding anniversary.

Superb restaurant in Covent Garden serving the most delicious contemporary American food in beautiful surroundings. You go up a candlelit sweeping stone spiral staircase to enter the restaurant, it's all so romantic and elegant without being pretentious or snooty. Staff are warm and friendly, efficient, attentive and knowledgeable. The food is incredibly good, particularly the steak, and there's a funky cocktail bar downstairs too. We came for our 2nd wedding anniversary, and had a wonderful time.

This is a fantastic spot for a American brunch - the food is delicious, the staff are friendly, and the whole place feels very classy and glamorous without being pretentious. The restaurant is one floor up, with huge windows and lots of light pouring in. We often come here on the weekend when we feel like a treat, and we've almost always been able to get a table almost immediately. They have a two-course or three-course deal for brunch - it's still fairly expensive, but you get your money's worth. It would be great for a birthday or other special occasion as they have plenty of tables.

This is the perfect choice for a pre-theatre or post-theatre dinner or if you are just in the Covent Garden area. The Martini bar provides a trendy but relaxed environment to enjoy fabulous cocktails before/ after dinner and the dining room is suitable romantic for a table for two but is buzzy enough for the larger group. Highly reccomened the Monterey cheddar mash as a side dish!!!

Christopher's never ceases to amaze me. I have been going there for the past 5 years and am still wondering when it will let me down. The answer is never so far! We had a wonderful time at Christopher's. A drink in the cocktail bar downstairs is a must do before you dine. The drinks menu is fantastic. This is an American restaurant with english style. So you must try the Surf and Turf. Our meal was cooked to perfection. You do not have to go for the large steak as the lobster covers most of the plate. The staff were very nice and friendly and always available but without all the fuss you sometimes get elsewhere. We will return very soon.

I ate at Christophers recently with friends after the theatre. It was my 2nd visit to the restaurant and it did not disappoint.

The building itself is beautiful and restaurant has a very elegant feel. Drinks in the bar downstairs before dinner are a must - lovely atmosphere.

There is a good selection of food and all of our meals were excellent. The service is very good as you would expect of a restaurant of this calibre.

I would definitely recommend the restaurant and look forward to my next visit.

This place is beautiful. The decor is gorgeous and very romantic, but you could just as easily have work drinks here. Christopher's is a beautiful, classy New York styled restaurant. Excellent to go to for dates as well as business.

The only reason I gave ambience a 8/10 and not a 10 was because it was a Sunday night when we visited and was quite quiet so I am sure we missed the usual ambience.

The cockatil bar downstairs looked quite enticing too...very chic.

The service was excellent as was the food. Having read the previous review I do not think that this is the sort of place you would take children to.

Having read the reviews I thought Christophers sounded great especially as we had a nine year old with us. The atmosphere was apparently great, the service & food apparently excelllent and the steaks were supposedly the best outside of the US and the "RIBS" were apparently to die for. Can't go wrong I thought. Unfortunately, this was not the case, there were no Ribs to start as the menu has changed, there were no childrens meals as such but the waitress was as accomodating as possible and we managed but it was not the experience I was expecting after reading the reveiws. The meal was however very nice, not a lot of atmosphere really, no backgroung music. The staff were very pleasant but there were two men at a table who were rather loud and used a lot of bad language, none of the staff attempted to ask them to refrain from swaring or keep the noise down and there were other families with children not just us. I can't say I didn't enjoy, but it was not what I expected and I would try elsewhere in future before returning. I wouldn't rate the whole experience any more than 8/10.

A perfect place to take a date that you might wanna impress....

The service was excellent, very professional and the waiter's wine recommendation as well as knowledge was excellent as well.

The food also was incredible. I was particularly highly impressed with how good the steaks were. Really good meat! The setting is very nice as well and romantic.

I have absolutely no complaints about this place, as everything was amazingly awesome and again, excellent!

Very authentic, most impressive steaks in london, rather partial to the ribs my self. The best bit was the distinct Canadian atmosphere (much more accomadating). Service exceeds that of most.I would rate it on par with the Savoy.

We had theatre tickets for a 7.30pm performance, and sat down to eat at 6.20pm. We explained the need for prompt service, and it was excellantly prompt. Drinks came straight away, the food was delicious - apart from the cod which didn't impress - the steak especially was wonderfully juicy and loaded with flavour. We'd finished eating by 7pm so had time to relax a little before leaving for the theatre. A really good experience, and we will certainly go to Christophers again.
