My husband and I visited Rhodes W1, for his birthday meal.

The food was delicious, piping hot where it needed to be, and full of flavour. I had the special starter of Cream of Butternut Squash soup, finished with creme fraiche, which was lovely. I could have eaten two more bowls of it. My husband had the Egg Benedict, which again was nicely presented, and was apparently very tasty. An excellent poached egg!

For main, I had the Roasted Haddock, with New Lyonnais Potatoes, in a Rosemary Cream. I was stuffed afterwards. Very Tasty. My husband had the veal, along with a good sized side order of chips, and a rocket and parmesan salad. Again, very tasty.

The only negative point of the evening, concerned the dessert order. We received the dessert menu, and were left for about 10mins, which was fine. However, the 10 mins turned into 20 mins, with the couple next to us (who had received there dessert menu after us), getting there dessert order taken before us. Another five mins passed before I finally caught their eye to get our dessert order taken, this was a little disappointing, given that the service had been good up until that point.

I'm afraid we decided not to opt for coffee aterwards, as we didn't want to wait another 25mins for that.

All in all though, it was a good meal, reasonably priced, with lovely tasting food. I would probably go back.
