|Loved the food! Loved the service! Loved the ambience!
This place was really wonderful. I came with my wife expecting the usual from a jazz club - small dingey good music but lousy food. Instead a got a large open spaces really stylish and comfy jazz lounge with excellent food. We had the seafood ravioli and a platter (theres a range of around the world platters and we had the Middle Eastern one), followed by lamb shank and gresingham duck (with a surprisingly tasty lychee and orange sauce). We shard a put - some some of yummy choccy pot. It was really really delicious and I've found this isn;t usually the case in live music venues. We enjoyed the nine piece jazz/swing band very much (cant remember the name unfortunately) but we had a proper dance on the dance floor which was a treat. We then moved to the cocktail bar area - this fantastic glass bar suspended over lots of little lights and sampled several cocktails. My favourite was the Pingu! The atmosphere was really wonderful with lots of dancing and it wa a night to remember - again not something i'd really expect from a place in Shepherds Bush! I was also pleasantly surprised to be told when we left that if we eat midweek its two for the price of one. I'll definitely be back here again and again.
