Yes, it is a lot of money for some people who should go to 'BudgetmealsRus'.

Must say that this was one of the very best meals me and my buddies have ever eaten outside of the US , and at 120($190) for two people of two big bowls of spagetti with sauce and a whole big bottle of this years fresh wine (who needs old stuff?), well that sure was good value. The music by the organ player and congoman was the most fabulous, and the nearest equivalent would be Maskela and Courtney Pine playing Newport (Jazz on a Summers Day anyone?) at their very best. The waiters let us use their chairs to rest our feet while we were groovin' to the music. Packed and perfect. the even let us stay for an extra half hour after eating our meal.

I was at l'etranger last week & for the 4th week of august it was full... the service is efficient, the food fantastic and the front of house staff smilling * courtious. This place is a litte jewel in the heart of Kensington (lucky locals...).

This restaurant is always attempting to better its menu and service, something that is lost in a lot of retaurants these days. I always feel I get value for money, portions are seriously good, food always yummy and the little things like freshly baked bread (free); big fat olives (free) and a great wine list to boot, make their efforts memorable.  The club downstairs (Opa) is also a great place to go so would recommend that as well for sure. They do finger friendly mega more-ish platters if you get the munchies so not just trnedy cocktails on offer - who needs the West end! L'etranger and Opal offer a great night out what ever the mood.

nice presentation and big portion! the food tastes alright but i couldn't eat it for a long time coz i'd feel sick.  i ordered foie gras for entree..and lamb for main... i couldn't finish either one of them.  they taste good at first but too much of it would make me feel sick.  better to low down the price and give a smaller portion...

A fantastic restaurant that oozes class without being pretentious or obsequious. Lovely, original food with a varying menu and a superb wine list. Never disappointed in more than a dozen visits - my favourite place in London and, believe me, I'm a foody!
