|Liked the food Loved the service! Loved the ambience!
We visited on 06/03/04. Excellent food. The house pate was lovely. The staff were attentive without being over wellming. Waiters had gorgous french accents. Would go again next time in London.

|Liked the food Hated the service! Didn't like the ambience
We visited this restaurant on Saturday 27th. September. It was virtually empty. The service was appalling. One of our waiters was slovenly in his approach. There was a general couldn't care less attitude and at no time did anyone enquire if the meal was to our satisfaction. It took over 2 1/2 hours to complete the service for 3 courses and coffee. What happens when it is busy?
The food was good, and was excellent value for money but the servers do an injustice to the staff in the kitchen. It is a great pity that the Roux name is associated with this place.
I suggest trying Thackerys in Tunbridge Wells, Circa In Lewes or Chapter One at Locks Bottom, Orpington all of which serve excellcent food but with the benefit of better and professional service.
