Excellent French cuisine in reasonable portions. My wife thought it was on eof the best meals she even had. Was full and we were lucky to have a table without reservation. Small enough to be busy without being noisy. I'll visit again when in London.

Myself and my girlfriend visited London over the 2006 New Year's Eve weekend. Not knowing what festivities were on in London we booked this restaurant on a whim for New Years eve night and were not disappointed with their set menu.

The food was beautiful! I would particularly recommend the Fillet of Scottish beef, it was perfectly char-grilled & smoky on the outside but still juicy, red, and tender inside. Service was exceptional. The staff were always attentive without ever being obtrusive. A “discretionary” service charge of 15% is added to your bill – whilst this may seem a lot I had no problems paying it for the service we had received. It’s entirely up to you whether you agree to pay the service charge. The decor is minimalist but with nice lighting and a modern glass frontage is impressive. Perfect for both a quiet couple or even for a louder group of diners.

We were so impressed we went back the next night for a pre-theatre meal. They have an excellent pre and post theatre menu priced at £12 for a starter, main and coffee or £16 for starter, main, desert and coffee. You simply cannot beat those prices – especially in the heart of London.

The decor is minimalist, but nice.  A bit loud because of all the hard surfaces.  Service was fair - the waiters were grumbling about people at other tables while waiting on us.  The food was good, but not the best I've had.  The rib-eye had a nice grilled flavour, but wasn't that special and the bearnaise had a consistency that made it seem it had been sitting around awhile.  All in all, pleasant but no more.

A very good restaurant although lacking in ambience, the food was suberbly cooked if a little overpriced.
