One of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had!! The Tapas was absolutely amazing, the ( red wine ) sangria was delicious!! The service was incredibly efficient, welcoming and attentive. Next time I'm in Camden will definitely eat here.

I had been on a work meeting in central London and decided to call in to Camden Town for a quick shop- I called in at the Bar Gansa at the recommendation of a lady at one of the stalls in the camden lock market = archangels? i asked her was it safe for a woman on her own to have a drink in a bar in this area. i was told that it was but better to go to only a few bars she recommended. she highly recommended the Bar Gansa for a drink and/or tapas. I had already eaten so I called in at the Bar Gansa for a glass of wine before my journey home. I was made very welcome and given a nice glass of house white wine at my request. the bar is tastefully decorated upon a Spanish them with red, orange and yellow tones with occasional painting reflecting flamenco dancing. Spanish music flooded the bar which made it stimulating and reminiscent of a mediteranean holiday for me. it was obvious that the staff enjoyed working there as the female waitress responded to the music by dancing as did the male waiter by smiling. i did not eat at the Bar Gansa as i had already tasted the hot food in the market. the seats were somewhat uncomfy and could have done with some cushions. overall, it was a nice experience and ended my working day nicely. the decor inspired me so much that I am going to paint a picture similar to one in Bar Gansa of a female dancer.
well worth a visit!

I like it! I liked the fact that in the middle of Camden, this place was not crammed and upretentious. Also, I love listening to French people, and the staff was mainly French. :-)
The breakfast was great and huge, and I will come again!

Stumbled upon this place completely by accident and very glad we did.  Although we weren't greeted particularly warmly, and were initially refused a table as it was a busy pre-Christmas evening and we only wanted a drink, we were permitted to sit ourselves at the bar.  This was a good move, as the olives laid out on the bar were truly delicious and the cocktails made by the friendly bar tender were pretty good too.  As we looked around at the food on the tables, it looked too good to resist, so we asked for menus.  As if by magic, a table suddenly became free and we sat down for a very pleasant couple of hours.  Service was speedy and friendly and all the food was excellent.

We went there last night for an excellent sangria, paella and crema catalana. The waitresses were polite, friendly and charming - and also very good looking! The food is good value and the bar/restaurant has a great ambience.
