this is an excellent place to go and stop for lunch, its not cheap (packet of crisps are 2!!!!! and beer is 5) the service was slow, but they treat you so well, make you feel special, made me and my friend feel like a celeb!! hehe

When asked where the toilets were, they didnt just tell us, they showed us!!

Definatly recommended! A++++++

I thought I would give you my feedbacks on this fantastic eatery.


I have seen the London restaurant scene changed so much in the last 5 years. London has opened its door to a fantastic choice of cuisine from all over the world, which gives to the UK capital a diversity in choice and taste. Wonderful.


I have been reading some of the reviews, most of the "must be tried" restaurants are reviewed and you are giving the right feedbacks about the restaurants I have visited.


A great location for the Harvey Nichols and Harrods shoppers, as well as the Chanel and Gucci fans. At One-O-One, you can feel that the designers and haute couture shoppers match their visit in Knightsbridge with a fine dining experience, both for lunchtime and dinnertime.


My last visit there was last Sunday for lunch, I usually go there at dinnertime, but I decided to pay a visit for a lunch.


As at dinnertime, the attention to detail the staff delivers is amazing.


Nicely greeted with a "welcome to One-O-One" and "do you have a reservation with us today?", you feel that the staff there is determined to give you an experience.


And I do each time I go there.


We had a drink in their beautiful creamy leather lounge, a glass of Taittinger to celebrate our expensive shopping from Chanel. Menus were brought while drinking champagne and the Maitre D' explained the menu, and we discovered the Lunch menu, which must be one of the best value for money in London: 25.00 for 3 courses.


But we did opt for the a la carte, again! Much more expensive though, but such a fantastic choice.


My wife choose the scallops with olive oil, tomatoes and almond. Scallops were so big and they had removed the orange part of it to leave the very best in the plate. Succulent!


I decided to try what the Maitre D' described as an unforgettable dish, the pig's trotter. I am adventurous while eating out, but that was more than an adventure going for pig's trotter in a fish restaurant. Believe me, it was a real treat. The trotter was stuffed with foie gras and veal sweetbread, the association worked very well, thank you for the advise Maitre D'!


We then shared the speciality of the house, the whole sea bass cooked in a crust of Brittany Rock sea salt. They bring you the whole fish at your table and prepare it before your eyes. Magnificent, with such an expertise from the staff. Plates are coming while the staff is preparing the fish, you have such a nice presentation including some mash potato, tomatoes (and I do not remember all of them...), then they take out the fillets and place them on your plate. You also get a foccacia bread, with rock salt on top, to go with the sea bass. And the last but not the least is the sauce. I think they call it Barigole sauce, made with artichoke, chopped tomatoes, butter and herbs, which they serve on the fillet.


I wish my wife had that cooking expertise, but she does not. I wish I owned such a restaurant as I could eat there everyday.


We arrived there at 1pm and did not leave before 4pm, as we had our coffees served in the lounge again. We felt like at home, we had been spoiled.


I think that this is their aim! But it is so nice!


My wife loved the cushion a smiley girl brought behind her back after the starters, I loved the glasses of wine we got for each course, and I love the fact that they do not add the service charge on the bill. You leave what you want. We left more than the basic 12.5% as we clearly had a fantastic time.


What can I say more? Pay a visit to One-O-One while in London, you will never forget the fresh ingredients and the combination of flavour, as you will never forget the attention the waiting staff is giving to you.


The only negative feedback I would give is the fact that you need to walk a long way to go to the toilets, and that is when you realise that this is a hotel restaurant, as you n
