Restaurants in Tulse Hill

A guide to Tulse Hill and restaurants around Tulse Hill

<2>Brixton - SW2

Brixton Academy - London CallingThe name Brixton goes back to the 13th Century and literally means ‘Meeting Place’. The influx of Caribbean immigrants in the 1950s have ensured that the meaning is still true today as Brixton is a melting pot of cultures, cafés and cuisine. Click here for a map of Brixton.

Arguably, outside of the West End, Brixton has the most happening nightlife in the whole of Greater London. The clubs and venues of The Fridge, Dog Star and the Brixton Academy are now much loved London institutions - find out what's on in Brixton.

Obviously, you would hope and expect the cafés and restaurants of Brixton to have an Afro-Caribbean influence. Whilst this is true, there also seems to be another breed of restaurant that cater for all tastes with eclectic international menus. Some restaurants that fit into this category are the excellent Z Bar and Restaurant, Helter Skelter, Bah Humbug and Café Goya.

We’ve also heard excellent reports of the Eco Pizzeria in Brixton Market, the lively Satay Bar and the new Japanese noodle eatery, Fujiyama.
