Restaurants in Ealing

A guide to Ealing and restaurants around Ealing

Ealing - W5/W13

Lammas Park - EalingEaling was developed mainly in the 19th Century as a "bastion of bourgeois respectability". Its good schools, green spaces and Victorian houses have ensured that it has remained solidly suburban and middle class today. As well as being home to almost 300,000 people, it is also home to the world famous Ealing Film Studios.

Ealing is split into the 4 sub-areas of West Ealing, South Ealing, Ealing Common and Ealing Broadway, and each has its own look, feel and taste.

Ealing BroadwayYou would expect that there would be a number of more upmarket restaurants in Ealing, however, this is not true. A popular restaurant in this area is The Lantern Taverna which is good for group parties as well as romantic dates. Cheap but authentic Japanese food can be found at Sushi-Hiro. The Hare and Tortoise is not a pub (as you might imagine from the name), but a modern, great value noodle bar. We also recommend Pizza On The Green for probably the best home-cooked pizza and pasta in West London.

Our pick of the crop from West and South Ealing are the Thai Spice House, arguably the best the Thai restaurant in the area and, the legendary Monty's - a Nepalese/Indian restaurant that has many local devotees in Ealing. Finally, we had to mention BB's Crabback for Caribbean atmosphere and cuisine.
